Italy dedicated their win of Euro 2020 to Meghan Markle

Can’t say I saw this one coming, but it is true that the enemy of my enemy is my friend. As you’ll recall earlier this year Meghan Markle, who made an L from the British Royal Family, pointed out just how epidemic racism is in the United Kingdom.

Meghan opened up about the racism that is omni-present within the Palace itself, and as you might have guessed, the royals were in denial about it. As Italy took on England in the Euro 2020 they embraced Markle as one of their own, and if watched the match yesterday with Italy fans, it was not uncommon to hear some of them dedicate their victory to Meghan Markle.

It’s a circuitous route to this destination, sure, but it’s totally logical. The Duchess of Sussex was proven right about the plague of racism that exists within the UK. After the loss, we saw lots of people racially abusing Bukayo Saka, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho online (all black members of the England national team) simply because they missed their penalty kicks in the shootout.

Rashford’s mural was even defaced. Prince William spoke out against the “racist abuse” being directed at the players.

“I am sickened by the racist abuse aimed at England players after last night’s match,” said a post signed by the Duke of Cambridge shared with his wife, Kate Middleton.

“It is totally unacceptable that players have to endure this abhorrent behaviour. It must stop now and all those involved should be held accountable.”

This led to Meghan Markle trending on the platform as users questioned why Prince William hadn’t defended his sister-in-law (Markle) and denounced the racism she said she endured during her time living among the royals.

Prince William performative ally ship . His words would have legitimate credibility right now if he had condemned racist abuse towards Meghan Markle and Archie . His silence and complicity fuelled what he condemn today.

Prince William Condemns ‘Racist Abuse’ Toward Black English Soccer Players

The English football team lost to Italy in Sunday’s Euro 2020 match

Prince William spoke out Monday against the “racist abuse” being directed at Black English soccer players following Sunday’s loss to Italy in the Euro 2020 match.

Three Black players missed penalties in Sunday’s big game, contributing to Italy’s win. They were targeted with brutal social media posts from fans.

Prince William’s sister-in-law, Meghan Markle, trended on the platform as observers questioned why he hadn’t spoken out as forcefully against the racism she said she endured during her time living among the royals. Her public call-out of her time there was made alongside her husband, Prince Harry.

Even before she wed Prince Harry, Duchess of Sussex , Meghan Markle was subject to racist coverage in the UK press that Middleton was not subject to.

It’s clear Meghan Markle experienced a cocktail of sexism, classism, and racism but the main issue with the Duchess of Sussex is her own personality. Her strength, beautify and charisma was a threat on its own.

It’s clear Duchess of Sussex experienced a cocktail of sexism, classism, and racism but the main issue with the Duchess of Sussex is her own personality. Her strength, beautify and charisma was a threat on its own.

“On sight”- the palace would have seen that Meghan’s ability to outshine anyone in the Royal Family was inevitable. Prior to her arrival, royal engagements were mediocre at best. Much as I believe racism to be a factor, I do not think it may have been the main factor.

The Royal Family hierarchical system means that only the direct heirs are worthy of the spotlight and it was important that Meghan’s light be dampened so as not to expose the Monarchy’s inadequacies. The Sussexes should never have lived in Kensington Palace.

Moreover, Harry and Meghan were clearly in love and made little effort to hide this. Harry was happy to let Meghan be herself and in so doing further highlighter the deficiencies in most of the relationships in the Monarchy, including William’s.

Harry and Meghan were everything a King and Queen should be – it was too evident, it was too much to bear, because if it was just case of sexism, classism, racism, the palace would have stopped by now. After all they have left. Isn’t that what they wanted?

Why haven’t they called off the hounds? Well, because as long as Meghan remains the Duchess of Sussex with her innate ability to “outshine”, she remains a threat. It’s why the titles matter, why the media keep talking about divorce. They need Meghan to disappear.

Invisible contract ?Prince William Got Footage Cut From TV Documentary About Prince Harry and Meghan Markle LAST-MINUTE

Another sign that the British royal family are prepared to show their ‘invisible contract’ has emerged in the dramatic last-minute edit of a British television documentary Sunday night, reportedly at the behest of the royals.

British terrestrial network ITV dramatically cut footage of journalist Omid Scobie claiming that Prince William’s staff at Kensington Palace planted a media story questioning the state of Prince Harry’s mental health. Scobie had claimed that William’s team planted the story after Harry and Meghan’s bombshell interviews with journalist Tom Bradby in South Africa in 2019. In the course of that interview, Meghan famously thanked Bradby for asking if she was OK, saying “not many people” had asked her that. Harry, in his interview with Bradby, confirmed there were tensions between him and his brother, saying they were on “different paths.”

The Daily Mail reports that ITV ditched a key phrase from an interview with Scobie, the journalist who wrote the sympathetic biography of the Sussexes, Finding Freedom, in the show Harry and William: What Went Wrong?

It had previously been reported that the show featured Scobie saying: “I would say that it was no coincidence that it was shortly after that aired, even the next day, there were source quotes that came from a senior aide at Kensington Palace saying that William was worried about his brother’s mental health.”

In the actual version of the show which screened last night, Scobie’s comment was cut and the words, “about his brother’s mental health” were excised.

The Mail says that Kensington Palace, on seeing advance reports of Scobie’s comments in show, “contacted the producers in relation to… Scobie’s suggestion that William had expressed a ‘concern’ about his brother’s mental health, which the author had no evidence to support.”

The Mail adds that after “carefully considering” the request, ITV “chose to remove any reference to mental health from the sequence, although they chose to keep in Mr Scobie’s comment about an alleged briefing from Kensington Palace relating to Harry.”

The Mail suggests that Kensington Palace hinted at legal action, telling ITV “that such a suggestion, if it formed part of the ITV program, would be defamatory in that it was substantially untrue.”

How the Former Chief of Staff to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Gets It Done .

Catherine St-Laurent is a philanthropic and strategic communications adviser who has worked with everyone from Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to Melinda and Bill Gates. She recently transitioned to serve as a senior adviser to the Archewell Foundation, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s charitable organization, and formerly worked as the chief of staff for the duo.

Here is how she had to say on working with Megan and Harry:

It was an incredible experience. They are incredibly talented and creative leaders. I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to do that, to be able to be with them on their journey. The time that I spent with them was incredibly fulfilling. I think they have the potential to be very influential leaders in the social-impact space. I look forward to continuing to be a part of that.

Fox News:,Prince William should ‘finally accept the happiness’ of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry

From Fox News:

Prince William should ‘finally accept the happiness’ of Meghan Markle, Prince Harry following reunion: author
While Prince Harry headed back to his home country to honor Princess Diana, the Duchess of Sussex stayed behind in California with their two young children.

Meghan Markle stayed behind in California as her husband Prince Harry headed to his home country – and there’s no doubt the Duchess of Sussex will be scrutinized by the tabloids over her absence.

Harry, 36, and his older brother Prince William, 39, reunited on July 1, which would have been their late mother Princess Diana’s 60th birthday. They led the unveiling of a statue they commissioned to honor her life and legacy.

The Princess of Wales passed away in 1997 at age 36 from injuries she sustained in a Paris car crash.

Markle, 39, is currently in California, where the couple resides, with their two children: Archie Harrison, 2, and Lilibet Diana, who was born on June 4.

“While the British press is figuring out how many ways they can skewer Harry, who appears to have found his happiness and broken a toxic cycle, Meghan will be put through the thresher that is Fleet Street press for not accompanying her husband even though she is a post-partum, breastfeeding mother with a toddler in tow as well,” royal author Leslie Carroll told Fox News.

Carroll has written seven books on the loves and lives of European royalty. Most recently, she wrote “American Princess: The Love Story of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry,” which details the couple’s courtship leading up to their May 2018 royal wedding.

She is aware of Harry’s alleged feud with William since the couple decided to step back as senior members of the British royal family. Carroll believes it is the Duke of Cambridge who should step up and make amends.

“I wish that William could finally accept the happiness of the Sussexes,” she said. “People are different, and everyone has their own path to the altar. It took William a decade to realize that Catherine was The One. Harry realized it for himself almost immediately on meeting Meghan. There’s no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ way to find your person.”

“I’ve long said, only half in jest, that the British royal family is the world’s longest-running soap opera,” she continued. “And it’s the media that keeps feeding the narrative, plumping up the plot wherein heroes and villains/esses are selected and those storylines are fed to the public. It’s also ironic to me that William (and Catherine) and Harry were instrumental in forming the Heads Together mental health awareness campaign in Great Britain — and William had the sensitivity to recognize how important this issue is for his future subjects who may be suffering.”

“Why does he not seem to extend that same concern for his own kid brother?” Carroll shared. “And accept the fact that Harry has a happy marriage to a woman who — so much like their own mother — is his biggest fan?”

Carroll pointed out that Harry himself revealed how Markle has been a supportive force in his life. He candidly spoke about his mental health to Oprah Winfrey in the Apple TV+ docuseries “The Me You Can’ See” where he serves as co-creator and co-executive producer.

“Harry tells Oprah that every time he’d be on a flight returning to London, he was triggered because of what had happened to him growing up there,” said Carroll. “I found Harry’s revelation about being triggered every time he was about to touch down in London again so striking. Of course, he was born into a family where… as the proverbial ‘spare’ one would think that he would have more freedom to be the architect of his destiny than William, whose destiny was set from the day he was born.

“… Ironically, his PTSD is not triggered by his battlefield experiences, but by those as a boy, in the company of his mother who was hounded by the press and cornered like an animal by cameras and microphones and pushy paparazzi,” she continued. “It’s the grasping hands and the flashbulbs and the viciousness of the media that trigger Harry’s anxiety and the very real fears that he could lose another woman dear to him – Meghan.

“So I believe that as Harry heads back home alone – which will clearly trigger countless painful emotions for him – Meghan will be figuratively be holding his hands in that reassuring way of hers, clasping one of his hands in both of hers. They will also be in constant communication by phone and video chat.”

Markle, a former American actress, became the Duchess of Sussex when she married Harry in May 2018 at Windsor Castle. The couple welcomed a son named Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor in 2019.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s departures from royal duties began in 2020 over what they described as the British media’s intrusions and racist attitudes towards the former “Suits” star. The family now resides in the coastal city of Montecito, Calif.

In the wake of quitting royal duties, they gave an explosive TV interview to Winfrey, 67, in March, in which the couple described painful comments about how dark Archie’s skin might be before his birth. The duchess talked about the intense isolation she felt inside the royal family that led her to contemplate suicide.

Buckingham Palace said the allegations of racism made by the couple were “concerning” and would be addressed privately.

On June 4, the couple welcomed their second child, a daughter named Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor. The child is eighth in line to the British throne.

The name pays tribute to both Harry’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, whose family nickname is Lilibet, and his late mother.
